If you look close, you’ll notice the wrinkles by my eyes. Most of us look at eye wrinkles and wish they weren’t there. Eye wrinkles often symbolize getting older and people start investing hundreds of dollars in eye wrinkle creams to try to make them go away.

But what if just once in a while we chose to look at those eye wrinkles with gratitude? Being grateful for the reasons behind them…

Those eye wrinkles were caused by laughter with family and friends.
Those eye wrinkles were caused by smiling at the moments that literally took our breath away.
Those eye wrinkles were caused by being surrounded by people that we love.
Those eye wrinkles… they symbolize the good stuff.

If it means that we’re getting older, then let’s be grateful that we were given another day of life.

The eye wrinkles in this picture were caused by my nine-year-old daughter who was taking this picture of me and of course cracking me up while doing so! 😂😂 She took like twelve pictures and almost all of them turned out better than this one. But I chose this picture. And I’m choosing today to be grateful for those eye wrinkles.
