Have you ever stepped on a Lego…and then yelled out words that you never knew it was even possible for you to yell out?!? 😂😂

Dude, those things HURT!

This happened to my husband and me about 317 times before we decided to do something about it.

So I got on Pinterest.

Pinterest Solves Problems.

At least it has for me MULTIPLE times in the past! And this time was another shining example! Pinterest is where I found so many different inspiration ideas for how to organize Legos.

There were ideas for how to organize your Legos in dressers, bins, buckets, and more! But then I started seeing ideas for turning tables into Lego stations and that’s when I knew we had the inspiration that we needed.

We went to Ikea and started checking out and measuring every little table we came across to see which one would work best our needs. And to our surprise, it was a COFFEE TABLE that actually solved our problem!

Wanna make your own DIY Lego Table?!? It is SUPER DUPER simple. Seriously, like sooooo easy. Easy peezy lemon squeezy. You should definitely try it.

How to create a DIY Lego Table!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

STEPS:

1. → Purchase the Ikea Lack Coffee Table. It is seriously PERFECT for this project! (It’s SUPER affordable!)

Here are some other tables that could also work for this project…

2. → Use the measuring tape and pencil to mark out where you will place the Lego baseplates. We tried to make them as centered as we could.

3. → Use Gorilla Glue to attach the six baseplates. Note that a tiny bit goes a long way! Do NOT use too much. And make sure you don’t get too close to the edges because this glue spreads! We made sure to leave a tiny crack between all the baseplate pieces in case anything expanded too much.

4. → Place large heavy items on top of the baseplates and then let dry overnight. Pretty sure we used a hodgepodge of items that were lying around the house such as dictionaries, hand weights, etc.

5. → Attach Caster Wheels to all four legs.

6. → Buy yourself a Tupperware that fits on the shelf ((and under the shelf if your child owns LOADS of legos – like ours do!))

7. → And then WOO HOO! That’s all there is to it! See? I told you it was simple!

*A fun rug for the Lego area is a nice touch so your kid(s) can play with Legos on the rug!

So if you’re tired of stepping on Legos…

And you need some organization to control the madness…

Snag yourself some of these items
so you can make your own DIY Lego Table!
