Our family loooooves Halloween! And we especially love throwing Halloween parties!
If you’re in need of some quick and easy ideas so you can throw your own Halloween shindig, keep reading!
I’m a mom-on-the-go… I ain’t got time for overcomplicated decorations and food. So check out some of the things we’ve made in the past that are easy to replicate, but still SUPER CREEPY AND FUN!
Halloween Themed Food Ideas:
Mummy Cupcakes! Drizzle white frosting back and forth to create the mummy paper and add some candy eyeballs!
Graveyard Brownies! Make a tray of brownies. Frost with green colored frosting. Then add Nutty Butty Bar Cookies, and use black frosting to add letters for the tombstones!
Body Part Dirt Cake Cups!
Fill up mini plastic cups with dirt cake. Buy some doll parts from your local craft store, and add one doll part to each dirt cake cup!
Candy Corn Cups!
Layer each cup with canned pineapple, canned mandarin oranges, Ready Whip, and a candy corn on top! *The Ready Whip doesn’t stay fresh & fluffy for an extended period of time so don’t make until you’re ready to eat them!
Bones Platter!
Purchase a mini “Bones” skeleton and lay him out on a platter. Then fill the platter with various meats, cheeses, and crackers!
Googly Eye Cupcakes!
Bake cupcakes using some Halloween themed cupcake liners. Frost them with orange frosting. Then add candy eyeballs all over each one!
Halloween Pretzels
Melt chocolate or white chocolate almond bark, dip some pretzels rods into it, decorate with sprinkles and Halloween themed candies, and then let set on wax paper!
Halloween Drinks
We found a printable online (so sorry, but I can’t find the original source anymore!) for the “poison” water, and then we used some white tape and googly eyes to make the mummy juice boxes!
Halloween Bark
Melt chocolate or white chocolate almond bark, and then go crazy adding in Oreos, Halloween themed sprinkles and candies! Once it’s dry, break it apart for a fun treat!

Some fun fall and Halloween themed decor for the front porch!
XL creepy and hairy spider? Check!
This one is always a hit! Such a big statement piece for Halloween decor!
Halloween decorations don’t always have to be scary! Sometimes you can make them funny too, especially if you’ve got little ones!
Even some cute little pumpkins can look creepy by adding a skeleton hand!
A message board is a perfect way to customize your decor by creating any Halloween saying you want!
Halloween Activities For Kids:
→ Candy Scavenger Hunt for Kids!
Purchase plain white baggies and Halloween themed stickers so each kid can decorate their own bag that they will use to hold their candy and treats. While kids decorate their baggies, the adults can scatter candy all over a designated area. We let the littlest kids go first and get a head start. Then release the bigger kids.
Backyard works great if you ask children to bring a flashlight. Or glow sticks work great too so you can get a glimpse of where all the kiddos are even if it’s pitch black outside. Inside works great though too in case it’s rainy outside.
We usually ask every family to bring a bag of candy for this.
→ Cardboard Box Maze
Starting at the beginning of October, start calling around and driving around town to the local appliance stores. Ask for XL washer/dryer and refrigerator cardboard boxes. Then the day before the party, start creating a box maze with these cardboard boxes and duct tape!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
These are some really neat ideas! I don’t go all out for Halloween but I’m tempted to try a few things; particularly the bark and pretzels!
The bark and pretzels are super easy! I especially love them because they’re really fun to do WITH kids – and they’re simple enough that I don’t get stressed out making them! ha! Thanks for reading and thanks for the comment! I appreciate you! : )
