Anybody else struggle with this from time to time?!?

No matter what your goals are, there are times when we can feel overwhelmed and let ourselves really get in a FUNK.

It’s been hard for me to start this blog.

It’s especially hard in a world where I’m constantly comparing myself to girls who have been doing it for years, who have loads more experience and knowledge than me, who have better photography skills, and who aren’t afraid to ask random strangers to take pictures and videos of them! πŸ˜‚

But I have to remind myself that just because something’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.

And when I look back at when I first started and remember how far I’ve come… then suddenly I am so proud of myself. And I can take a deep breath.

…because imagine how much further I’ll be if I stick to it for another year!

So whatever it is you might be struggling with today…

  • Blogging
  • Working out
  • Eating healthy
  • Completing college courses
  • Being a mom
  • Etc.

…the following tips still apply!

HOW TO GET YOURSELF
OUT OF A NEGATIVE FUNK:

1. Positive Self Talk β†’

Place post-it notes where you’ll see them daily reminding you of things you are awesome at. Repeat these things over and over again until it becomes a habit to automatically think about these things when times get hard.

2. Positive Accomplishments β†’

Keep a list of things you’ve accomplished along the way. You’ll be amazed at how it starts adding up. When you’re feeling discouraged, look at this list to remind you how far you’ve come.

3. Positive Mindset β†’

Start a collection of positive quotes and motivational sayings that you can look at on days you feel in a funk. Wellness absolutely depends on a positive mindset.

4. Positive People β†’

Surround yourself with people who cheer you on and help keep you motivated.

Is there anything else I left off the list?!? Please comment below if you have any other ideas that might be helpful to getting out of a negative funk!
