Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, watches… Oy Vey!  What do you do with it all?!?  How do you organize the madness?!?

If you need an organized system for your jewelry, keep reading!  I have some good tips for you!

How To Organize Your Jewelry:

1. Buy a piece of furniture that fits your needs.

I bought a slim piece of furniture with lots of shallow drawers.

The piece that I bought was the Alex 9-Drawer Dresser Unit from Ikea. It is absolutely UHHHHH-mazing!!!!!  However, similar items just like this one are everywhere and easy to find!

I love how the drawers hide all my jewelry so it doesn’t look like a ton of clutter!  Plus, it’s a smaller piece of furniture, so it’s perfect to fit in a closet!

2. Make the Drawers Non-Slip.

First, I cut cardboard to fit all the drawers. These drawers measure approximately 11.5 inches x 16.5 inches.

Then I covered the cardboard with velvet that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby in order to create a non-slip surface.

Then… I filled these drawers up!!!

I also bought a velvet jewelry tray insert from Ross to place inside one of the drawers to hold some of my earrings.

3. Find a System For Hanging Earrings.

I bought a frame with chicken wire to hold all of my most worn earrings, especially my leather earrings.  These are my favorite kind of earrings since they’re super lightweight, but they can easily get bent if not kept straight.  So I wanted to make sure that they were always protected.

I gorilla glued two wood chunks to the back of the frame and then attached some 3M strips to each wood chunk to hang it to the wall.

4.  The Finishing Touches.

I found the little ceramic kitty kat at Marshalls to hold my rings and hair ties.

I found the orange bowl at a local antique store to hold my favorite bracelets, the ones I most frequently wear.  Having it on top makes for easy access.

And the little elephant bowl holds my stud earrings.

And there you have it!
